Only a few days lingering for the Class of 2015 before they head off on new adventures…I’ve got some MAJOR blogging to do! Considering I’ve been in a crazy stupid long blogging hiatus, I’m going to try and sneak in all of my seniors in the next couple of weeks-Get Ready!!!!
Elizabeth’s session was only a few short weeks ago. Spring was in full swing before the crazy July-like humidity of this past week. You wouldn’t know if from looking at these images, but it was FREEZING!!!!! Well, I was freezing. I kept asking Liz, “Are you cold?” and every time she would say NO! Crazy girl. For the record….I saw a few goosebumps by the end of the session that she tried to deny ;)
We met in Fort Wayne and stopped at some random places as we made our rounds between locations. Liz has a very dry sense of humor…something I thoroughly enjoy and “get” and the night was easy and casual. The girl could show up in a paper bag and be gorgeous so I just had to be funny (my funny is usually borderline dumb-hey, it works) enough to get her laughing.
YAY! We hit the blooming trees perfectly!!!!!
Thanks, Liz, for a great session! Hope you love your images!!!!!
For years, I have told myself I was going to do a post like this. One (or two) image from each session. A reminder of all the faces I have had the pleasure of capturing through my lens. All the smiles and laughs, yawns, tears….and even the little messes left by diaper-less newborns. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to decide. I even called in some reinforcements to just decide for me when I had 5-6 that I simply just couldn’t let go of (thanks, Jenna!).
This time of year, I’m always so thrilled to have some time off. To finally breathe after busy season. Don’t get me wrong, I love my work and in about two months I’ll be itching for the weather to turn so I can FINALLY get back to the work I love. But for now, I’ll hibernate. And with this post, I’m again reminded of how truly blessed I am that these beautiful people let me be a small part of their lives…if even for an hour!
Yes, these are from the same session…BUT it’s my blog so I can! Actually, I adored the top image but simply could not NOT put an image of Mommy (my cousin Andrea) in my post!!!
Yeah….my family thinks they’re SOOOOO funny!
Ah, yes…the other session that I just could not decide on only one. I make no apologies.
This one has a great story…see that little snowman holding a teddy bear? It’s a hint! These are dear friends of ours and this picture was sent out as their Christmas card…and also as an announcement that they are expecting a baby!!!!!!! Still can’t believe it!!!!
Thank you to all my amazing clients. Those who I have worked with this past year and those that have come before. I adore you all and am so thankful for your continued support.
Merry Christmas to all of you! Prayers for a wonderful holiday and amazing 2015!!!
I’m still prepping to blog so many seniors from this past year and when I begin to write each post, I keep having the same thought…..I photograph some of the most beautiful people. Yes, physical beauty if easily recognized and yes, they ARE SO BEAUTIFUL in that regard….but I am talking about the good stuff…the stuff on the inside. I’m not kidding, these kids are so much more than I ever even thought of being in high school. They’re kind and considerate; they treat me with respect but still have fun too. They’re such good people. I am excited to see what the future has in store for each of them.
Hannah came along with her mom with an attitude of “do whatever you want” and so we did! Hannah has an amazing smile and was a joy to work with-I think all these episodes of Top Model these girls watch pay off…they just know what to do ;)
Oh my goodness. Seriously. I am so jealous of those perfect teeth :D
Hello, gorgeous girl! I swear, she can’t take a bad photograph!
Hannah, I LOVED our evening together! Thanks so much :)
