undefined Love those little teeth :)  Brock stole my heart just over a year ago.  I still remember his Grandma calling me from the hospital to schedule his newborn session and he wasn’t even born yet!  I think my favorite memory of meeting Brock for the first time, just a week after that phone call, was watching his dad Chad hold him…and the look on his face.  I think I even talked about it then…the moment has stuck with me :)

Brock’s big brown eyes make me melt…and make me laugh when they’re full of mischief.  He’s going to be a lot of fun this summer running all over the place while mom and dad try and keep him out of everything…and I mean everything!  He had a fascination with a barrel filled with water during this session at Grandma’s house and had his mom Mandy not been holding his foot, Brock would have fallen in head first!

Brock, you sure are a sweetie!  So glad your mom and dad allowed me the chance to watch you grow over the last year :)

I always know the day I have a newborn on the schedule, it’s going to be  good one.  Entering a home where new life has just been welcomed is like taking a happy pill!  No matter how sleep deprived mom and dad are, they are beyond proud to show me their new little one.  There are lots of comments about how the first few days have been and how everyone is adjusting, even the family dog.  Life is good.  It’s always a good day.

Erica contacted me a short time before she was due to give birth and told me to be expecting her call as soon as Harper made her arrival!  Seeing her name pop up in my inbox a few days after the due date was a rush….SHE’S HERE!!!

undefined We started off in Harper’s adorable nursery.  How tiny they look in their cribs as newborns!  I also love when Mom and Dad can both be a part of the session…Jon never stopped smiling…even while stealing a kiss with his beautiful wife ;)

undefined

undefined There’s a bit of a learning curve involved with dressing a newborn…and I’m convinced that people who design baby clothes have never physically had to do this!   Jon was a little worried about getting the dress over Harper’s head ;)

undefined Erica and Jon, your little girl is so beautiful!  Congratulations to you both on your growing family and I look forward to watching Harper grow in leaps and bounds in the next year!

undefined When I started my Weeds Program last year, I had no idea that there had been a baby boom in the area!  I had a number of gorgeous kids enter my life all within weeks of each other!   I knew this Spring would be bittersweet for a lot of their parents and a lot of our sessions began with, “I cannot believe how fast this year has gone.”  Should I have warned them it only gets faster?!

Little Blake celebrated his first birthday last month and as I predicted at his 9 month session, gave me a run for my money!  I think Blake’s feet were running before he ever hit the ground!  I thought it best to let him run the show and along with his mom and dad, I literally followed where he lead (except of course when he was headed onto the road!).

undefined The image above on the right says it all….he never stops ;)

undefined

undefined A quick change before heading to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  The tears were unexpected…Blake was knee deep in grass and he was mad that he couldn’t run in it ;)

undefined Blakers, I have loved every minute with you!  So sad to see you grow so quickly and yet so glad I’ve been able to watch as you learned to roll, sit, crawl and now run away from me!  Luke and Lauri, he is one special little boy.  Thanks for sharing him with me :)
