Grace is making her first of many appearances on the blog as she is one of the newest additions to the Weeds Program! I am delighted to have the opportunity of documenting the first year of her life and am already in love with her dark hair and adorable grin.
Grace’s first session was of course, all about her (no boys allowed). Here she is at three months old and already sporting a fabulous wardrobe with accessories to match!
It was only a few short weeks later that I returned to the Baker household to photograph the boys! What a change from Grace’s session! The boys were all about playing in the yard, exploring and riding their power wheels. I’m sure a girl would just get in their way ;)
It’s hard not to compare siblings…and I could instantly tell that younger brother Isaac is a bit on the ornery side while Will is more quiet and reserved. It didn’t take long for Will to open up though and was soon telling me all about their excavation site in the sandbox ;)
Oh my goodness, I could not stop cracking up at these two cruising the yard with their shades on! They look like the two coolest kids to ever go on safari ;)
And little Grace woke up just in time for a sibling picture. Those boys sure do love their baby sister…until she starts playing with their toys, right?! Such a beautiful family, and sweet too. I got two fist bumps before I could leave making me feel like Will and Isaac might let ME go on the next safari ;) Can’t wait to see you all again soon for Grace’s six month session!
Preston has been the sweetest little boy from the first day I met him. At every session, his smiles are generous and his giggles are contagious! He celebrated his first birthday this past Spring and we documented the milestone at his Grandma and Grandpa H’s house on the farm. He was not yet walking then but I’m sure by now he’s running circles around mom and dad!
Dad was so proud to have Preston up on the tractor with him :) Preston, you are the sweetest little man and I am so thankful to have shared in the first year of your life!
She’s a happy girl. That’s how her mother describes Lila. If you know mom Morgan, then you will also know that it could be said “like mother, like daughter.” Morgan is a dear friend and I have cherished the time that I’ve been able to spend with both of her children over the last year. It has truly been a family affair :)
We again chose Grandma Mitchel’s house as the location for Lila’s one year session. The last time we were there, Lila was 6 months old and not even sitting up yet. This time, we tried so hard to schedule carefully around naptimes and the family dinner that was planned…only to have it start raining again literally the minute we stepped out the door! Yep, that’s the kind of Spring it was around here…we all know it. We decided to shoot indoors and wait out the storm as we were certain the rain would pass….
…but not before I put in a special order with Mother Nature for this to appear ;)
Lila didn’t care about the wet grass, or the mud, or the cold water from the pond in the back yard. She just wanted to RUN!
And run she did, through the puddles and giggling like she had just broken free from Mom’s arms!
Miss Lila, how I adore your wrinkled up nose and your pretty blue eyes. Hoping to get some days by the pond with you and your Mommy this summer ;) Happy Birthday, big girl!
