When I started my Weeds Program last year, I had no idea that there had been a baby boom in the area!  I had a number of gorgeous kids enter my life all within weeks of each other!   I knew this Spring would be bittersweet for a lot of their parents and a lot of our sessions began with, “I cannot believe how fast this year has gone.”  Should I have warned them it only gets faster?!

Little Blake celebrated his first birthday last month and as I predicted at his 9 month session, gave me a run for my money!  I think Blake’s feet were running before he ever hit the ground!  I thought it best to let him run the show and along with his mom and dad, I literally followed where he lead (except of course when he was headed onto the road!).

A quick change before heading to Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  The tears were unexpected…Blake was knee deep in grass and he was mad that he couldn’t run in it ;)

Blakers, I have loved every minute with you!  So sad to see you grow so quickly and yet so glad I’ve been able to watch as you learned to roll, sit, crawl and now run away from me!  Luke and Lauri, he is one special little boy.  Thanks for sharing him with me :)

It’s almost time for Anniston’s one year session…so we’d better get you updated on how much she has grown AGAIN!  What a difference going from 6 months to 9 months.  These little ones become little people :)  They have begun to find their voices and they are now moving everywhere.  Anniston has always been so, so pleasant and content for her previous sessions but THIS time the giggles came out!  Did I mention she’s fast when she moves?  I still can’t believe she was almost walking already!  I wonder how much faster she’ll be next time ;)

Always the princess, we started with a tutu and pearls and ended with a sleepy girl resting on the couch.

Miss Anniston, your pouty cheeks have always been my favorite, but now I think it’s your wrinkled nose grin and new teeth!  Can’t wait to see you again!

This was the second time I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family!  Jenna is also a photographer, and over the past year of sharing stories and ideas, she has become a treasured friend.   Last year, Jenna and Andy moved to their new home on a beautiful piece of property in the country.  It was a perfect location to document this time in their lives with two busy boys as they await the arrival of their baby girl this summer!

Jenna, thank you so much for allowing me into your lives and photograph your adorable boys and hubs :)  I look forward to our next adventure and to meeting your sweet baby girl VERY soon!
