Since I last shared Blake with you, he has taken to his feet and become very curious about the world around him. Still the sweet little boy with the big laughs but now he’s FAST! He had both myself and his mom chasing him down and doing absurd things to get one of those big smiles to appear. He is also sporting two new teeth and a big boy haircut!
Oh, Blakers, you just make me smile :) Can’t believe it’s been a year since I photographed your Mom and Dad while they were waiting for you! I expect a good workout when I see you next (as I’m sure you’ll have learned how to run by then)!
I knew from the moment I met them that I would love working with Lauren and Josh. At our first sit down to discuss their coming wedding, the conversation came easy and and seemed to fly by. These two are so easy together, like the perfect balance of laid back and take charge with a hint of humor underneath it all. When it came time for their engagement session, they searched to find the the perfect locations for the look they wanted :) I love it when couples can incorporate places that have meaning to them or areas they grew up in. Years from now, they’ll not only look back on themselves just starting out, but those places that made them who they are.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day!
Lauren and Josh, I am SO looking forward to your wedding this August! With so many big and exciting things happening in your lives right now, that time is going to fly by :)
This was an absolute first. I walked in and upon seeing Preston, I didn’t recognize him! How could that be since I have been photographing this little guy since birth and memorizing his sweet smile? I started laughing and told his mom, Lindsey that if she weren’t holding him, I would have sworn I was looking at the wrong child!
It’s amazing how a person so little can change so much in just three months! But then he smiled…it’s the same memorable smile :)
Ah, he is such a sweetie :) I love that he was moving and crawling all over the place…makes me wonder if he’ll be walking for his one year session….we will see!
