I arrived at Austin’s home one warm evening to meet him and his mom, Andrea for the first time. After corresponding over the phone, Andrea and I knew their beautiful property would be the perfect location for Austin’s entire session. With gorgeous landscaping and stone facades, it was easy to find endless places to shoot!
Austin was mostly quiet throughout his session…what I think of as the “typical” senior boy. By this I would guess he was a little less than thrilled when he was told that he had to be in front of my camera for a couple of hours! But he was a wonderful sport about the two of us women telling him where to stand and what to wear. And we were right, I loved him in that yellow sweater :)
Austin, it was my absolute pleasure to spend the afternoon with you! Thanks to you and your mom for showing me around the place and allowing me into your home. Ever since then, I’ve paid much more attention to the Bengals than I would have before! Enjoy the rest of your senior year.
Meet the adorable, spunky and sweet Addy! I absolutely love photographing this age. It’s so easy to engage in conversation about anything and get them to talk with lots of expression! My favorite photographs of my own kids are those of their genuine expressions, where they’re talking or laughing, pouting or just being quiet to themselves…their eyes often evoke more feeling than a big smile. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the smiles too…especially the big ones full of laughter!
Addy and I were fast friends, laughing and chasing our way across a few areas of downtown Fort Wayne. Here are a few of my favorites.
Addy will be making another appearance on the blog soon when I share her little sister’s session from late last fall!
Hunter was an absolute sweetheart from the moment she stepped out to greet me. She arrived with a load of clothes, her smile and an attitude of having fun. A bit nervous at first, her first comment was, “I’m not very photogenic.” I told her she was crazy. The third shot out of the camera is the one below. I turned the camera around and let her have a peek…she laughed a little as if she didn’t recognize herself. She was completely relaxed from then on and enjoyed every minute (and it showed).
It was a fairly cold and dreary day last fall when we shot these…but Hunter took it in stride! Un-photogenic….Yup. Crazy!
Hunter, your beauty is obvious to everyone but you, dear! It was an absolute pleasure spending the morning with you, your mom and baby sister. Good luck with your coming graduation and wishing you wonderful things for your future!
