Oh these images make me smile :) Last fall Taylor and myself (along with Taylor’s bestie and Mom) drove around the tiny village of Willshire for her session. I grew up in that tiny village and it still feels a little like home. I think we literally ran into at least two of my family members while walking around! Taylor’s dad grew up here too so it was fun to make random stops here and there, starting at her dad’s barn outside of town and making our way to her Grandparents place just down the road from my childhood home.
I remember the day being very overcast and breezy….not a bad combination for a girl with a killer smile and gorgeous hair! Taylor was a natural and we chatted the night away with only one minor mishap along the way….Dad’s beloved car wouldn’t start that night so we couldn’t take it to the location Taylor wanted for images. More on that in a minute!
Loved her in this red dress…such a pretty color for her! And she worked it like a rock star for me :)
You may remember this car from Kylee and Luke’s Wedding….you guessed it. Small towns where everyone knows everyone and is more than likely connected ;) Since we couldn’t get the car to come to us…we decided to go to the car and make it work! I think it was a blessing in disguise that we had to do so :)
Thank you, thank you, Taylor for the adventure :) Enjoy your last few days as a high school student–and have a fabulous summer!!!!!
Tomorrow is THE day for Brooke and Adam! I’m more than looking forward to meeting their friends and families as I’ve been told this party is going to be epic! If those in attendance are anything like Brooke and Adam, I know that will be the case. I loved Brooke from our first email. Very straight forward and to the point. Something I can appreciate since I’ve been accused of that myself over the years ;) When we met over coffee a few months ago to discuss details it was like we had been friends forever! Hugs all around :)
The first thing everyone notices when they meet Brooke is her smile. It’s infectious! And Adam is perfect complement to her…a little more reserved and he laughs at her jokes…a match made in Heaven ;)
We weren’t sure we would have time to sneak in an engagement session before their wedding. But thanks to Indiana’s bi-polar weather and our 80+ degree temps in MARCH, we made it happen and didn’t even freeze to death in the process!
Bring on the party guys!!! See you tomorrow :)
The wait is ALMOST over!!!!! I had a text from my brother just after midnight (which I missed!) that Betsy was being admitted to the hospital. A few updates from Chris this morning says that Izzy is just about to make her arrival….It’s killing me!!!! I am rearranging schedules like crazy to head down to Muncie and meet my little niece as soon as I get the OK from her mom and dad :)
So, at this moment, I’m sitting by my phone and waiting. And I’m anxious. The phone has rang a few times and I run to it…but no news yet. So I figured I NEED to blog their maternity session that I shot just a few weeks ago. Because in a few days, I’ll be posting Izzy’s newborn session!!!!!!
And as I sit here and think about that (still waiting), all I can wrap my head around is that my baby brother and his beautiful wife are about to become parents for the first time :) I wish I could be a fly on the wall right now and experience the joy of the moment Izzy takes her first breath. I wish I could see the look on my brother’s face when he meets his daughter today…
Yes, we’re all still waiting on Izzy…but not for long now :)
