Tomorrow is THE day for Brooke and Adam! I’m more than looking forward to meeting their friends and families as I’ve been told this party is going to be epic! If those in attendance are anything like Brooke and Adam, I know that will be the case. I loved Brooke from our first email. Very straight forward and to the point. Something I can appreciate since I’ve been accused of that myself over the years ;) When we met over coffee a few months ago to discuss details it was like we had been friends forever! Hugs all around :)
The first thing everyone notices when they meet Brooke is her smile. It’s infectious! And Adam is perfect complement to her…a little more reserved and he laughs at her jokes…a match made in Heaven ;)
We weren’t sure we would have time to sneak in an engagement session before their wedding. But thanks to Indiana’s bi-polar weather and our 80+ degree temps in MARCH, we made it happen and didn’t even freeze to death in the process!
Bring on the party guys!!! See you tomorrow :)
The wait is ALMOST over!!!!! I had a text from my brother just after midnight (which I missed!) that Betsy was being admitted to the hospital. A few updates from Chris this morning says that Izzy is just about to make her arrival….It’s killing me!!!! I am rearranging schedules like crazy to head down to Muncie and meet my little niece as soon as I get the OK from her mom and dad :)
So, at this moment, I’m sitting by my phone and waiting. And I’m anxious. The phone has rang a few times and I run to it…but no news yet. So I figured I NEED to blog their maternity session that I shot just a few weeks ago. Because in a few days, I’ll be posting Izzy’s newborn session!!!!!!
And as I sit here and think about that (still waiting), all I can wrap my head around is that my baby brother and his beautiful wife are about to become parents for the first time :) I wish I could be a fly on the wall right now and experience the joy of the moment Izzy takes her first breath. I wish I could see the look on my brother’s face when he meets his daughter today…
Yes, we’re all still waiting on Izzy…but not for long now :)
Kyle’s session included a drive to Snow Lake in Fremont, Indiana. It was an early wake up call to take advantage of the sun rising over the water. Shooting in a completely unfamiliar area is always fun as everything is new. During the drive, I was taking note of some potential locations all while trying to pay attention to my GPS ;) The first place we headed was just down the road from their lake house and I considered it a lucky find…a very tiny field of grapevines just off the road! We then headed back to the house and continued to shoot the rest of the session literally in their back yard. We may have wandered slightly onto the neighbors property as well, but I was assured they wouldn’t mind ;)
Thanks to Kyle and his mom, Dawn, for inviting me into their home and sharing their slice of the lake with me :)
